Prep School Projects 2013

On Friday 10th May, 2013 Bizerte Culture House ‘Sheikh Idrees’ hosted the Project Work Presentation Show of Habib Haddad Prep School Pupils.

Under the supervision of ELT Inspector, Najet Hosni, teacher Rasheeda Mheebek and grade 9 pupils were involved during this school year in various activities and actions aiming at raising environmental awareness among pupils and the whole community of the different risks of pollution and the necessity of keeping our country clean.

They removed rubbish, painted the school walls, cleaned toilets and classrooms, designed posters, charts and leaflets and organized an anti-smoking campaign.

The show started with a speech making the audience sensitize the seriousness of pollution and the urgent need to make a difference

‘Smoking You Must Be Joking’ was a play acted to highlight the impacts of smoking on our health.

Photos of the Smoking Campaign conducted by pupils at school were gathered in gathered in a smart projection shown to the audience.

Another video was filmed to sum up the Cleaning Campaign, also organized by the same pupils.

The students sang ‘Mother Nature Needs Us’ song and presented a second play named: ‘Heal The World’, followed by Michael Jackson’s famous song: ‘Heal The World’.

Eventually, one boy presented his a lovely piece of art as a demonstration of reusing plastic bottles and papers.

At the end of the show Inspector Najet Hosni gave a speech thanking teacher Rasheeda Mheebek, her pupils as well as their parents, who were attending the show for this great work. She insisted on the importance of project work in the learning/teaching process and urged teachers and pupils to encourage learning beyond the classrooms as an opportunity to practice what’s learnt in real world.

Students were awarded certificates of appreciation.

The show was attended by teachers of English working at prep schools in Bizerte.
